Saturday, March 20 Earth Hour: Families Make a Difference
from 10 a.m. to noon
On Saturday March 27, at 8.30 p.m., lights will turn off all over the world for one EARTH HOUR to create awareness of global warming. In March of 2009, Escanaba joined 4088 cities worldwide in turning off the lights in municipal buildings and homes. Join us on Saturday, March 20, the weekbefore Earth Hour as the BonifasArtsCenter and the ClearLakeEducationCenter offer a morning of exploration into the causes of global warming and what actions we can take to lessen the effects. The program begins with an introduction to the subject and is followed by hands-onactivities andarts projects. Student artwork from this session will be displayedat Gladstone and Escanaba libraries to raise awareness of this critical issue and encourage participation in Earth Hour the following week.
Fee $2, Space is limited and pre-registration is required. This program is make possible with the sponsorship of ClearLake and Bonifas youth programs.
